View Full Version : How to find the server.ini. file

ok im completly lost i understand in order to do port forwarding i need to find the server.ini. file which i dont know where it is :confused: so if anyone can help me please cause ive been tryin for weeks to get my server up and i have:

Windows Xp
Sony Vaio
verizon Dsl
Westell 2200 modem


And i have to ips one with a computer icon and one with a globe the computer icon ip shows:192.168.1.46 and the globe icon ip shows:151.200.13.221,10.100.4.113 and that global ip seems to be changing everyday.

i need serious help i know someone out ther can explain it to me and i have a clan for swat 3 a serous game and i know u know about that the clan is *¦¡[§]¡¦* soul assassins but that is neither here or there and everyone in my clan has a mic and we are tired of using roger wilco and using other ppl ts server so can u help me i need all the help i can get :rolleyes:

the port forwarding has nothing to do with your server.ini file. Port forwarding needs to be set up in your router configuration.

- the global IP when you do not have a fix IP. Ask your ISP for a fix IP (which will cost you something) if you need one or do a search for dyndns (a free solution which requires some setup stuff)

- a lot of programms install their files into the installation folder. So does TS => you'll find the ini in the TS server folder after you've started TS for the first time.

your server.ini file is a text type document which sometimes is just called "server" in your TS host folder, u could try puting ur current WAN IP in the boundip line
