more suggestions for t-s 3

it would be nice to ban by name , and be able to recall ip's of peps that come in leave, come in leave 10 times so fast you cant ban them for being an a** , becuse you got to leave the game your in first to r/click there name to ban them and if there not in when you click there name it will say error no such player id !!!

could you add a check box to hide your admin rights , not to hide you all together but only the (sa ca r) after name ?

could you add a server rigth to refuse guest1 so it will not allow anonymous log in's. i cant keep track of people in t-s and in the corect game with a guest log in and to kick all that come in that way with kick with reason tab " log in as in game name" is a pain

could you add a auto recorded message of our makeing so you can say some thing like " welcome to my teamspeak server log in as in game name and enjoy your stay while in "x" game" or some thing like that so we can greet peps as they logg in to the default chanel !!! even when we the " sa ca " are not loged in !!! would be cool to be greated on your way in !

and last but not least to be able to see across chanels so you can see whos in the t-s server from any chanel .. now you can only see from inside the chanel your in and the subchanels with in that , not across other chanels your not in , peps come in and think the server is empty with out looking ??? so i had to redo my server and use subchanels for all rooms , i don't like it this way but it kinda works . as a "sa" i check my self as away so i get a log at bottom of t-s of who comes in and times .can't do that outside of default chanel !! i got a passworded admins chanel but my away log wont show peps coming and going :mad:

anyone know what may or may not be in t-s3 or when the testing on it will start , or release any info besides it's being made ? and by the way no i am not trying to get them to hurry when it is done it is done, only wondering what may be the new flavor of our candy

It would be nice to specify game servers that use a particular server as information for the TS weblist. So you could see what game servers you can play on if you connect to a specific TS server or you could search for a game server you want to play on and have its TS server listed.

Of course it would be better to have direct integration of TS into games, but that's nothing the TS developers have influence on, unfortunately.

to add to my own post i think if each player useing t-s had a 1 of a kind id # like network cards have , we could ban from that , so we do not have to worry about changing ip's !!!! ever again !! player "x" id belongs to this pc & user and cant get a new change of name to fool t-s owners , or changes the ip's to get back in . id is to the players pc & name and maybe a master ban list gets you 50 ban's for 1 id , then got to beg teamspeak.org so you can log in any server lol but only give then 10 more chances then ban forever :p can't never get on any t-s server anywere lol !! proven yourself to be an a** and don't deserve t-s :p something need to be done !!!

ok, to clarify this a bit:

banning features will be extended in TS3, regular expression-based bans is what we're heading for. You can recover the ips from the server.log if the server.ini sets the server to log them :p

permission system will be changed as well, so you should be able to do whatever you want.

This would come with name-banning, right? (see above) but perhaps we'll include that option.

you should switch the server-mode from public mode to clan mode in your server's web-interface... that will enable the feature you requested. :p

but ok... let's go on...

We won't give out any timeline, as we don't know the release date ourselves and as we don't want to have to break any given dates.

MAC-Addresses are changable as well, so that's still not enough proof for kiddies that get on your nerves ;)
we'll thin about some way to get rid of annoying people, but it has to be resistant against abuse (in contrast to what you suggest).


OK, now you recieved an answer to your suggestions... but again (as always): next time please search the forum things you're going to ask / suggest, as it's a waste of time for us to answer the same thing over and over again.

Did you register on this forum just to ask the question SatanClaus just answered some posts ago?


permission system will be changed as well, so you should be able to do whatever you want.

I think "whatevery you want" includes custom groups and titles.
