Ok, long story short... about 5 weeks ago my Klipsch 5.1s had a little problem with the amp causing everything to stop working... 2 days later, I hooked up these dinky E-Machine speakers for sound and I had to do a thing or two with the sound options to get people on my TS2 server to be able to hear me... Being the half-minded fool that I am, I forgot exactly what I did...
Now, 4 weeks later I get my replacement 5.1s back from the factory and get back into my ts2 server... only, no one can hear me..
Ive managed to get that corrected... now people hear me fine... its just... I get this booming in my mic, like my fan is blowing on it and making sounds in the speakers. I can talk and talk and I will never hear myself in them, but whenever it gets a gust of wind or I touch the mic, my speakers give the boom. I can get it to stop by muting my mic... but in the proccess it mutes my in TS2, so that no-one can hear me.
any suggestions?

What if you hold the Mike a bit more on Distance but up the amplification of the Record bit ?

Problem is... there isnt a spot ive found yet that doesnt generate some sort of sounds through the mic... if I move it where my fan cant hit it, under my desk, people hear my CPU fans...
I know there is a way to do it because I was set up for the last 2 years where I had my mic muted in sound levels, but could still transmit with it
