I've looked around, a few problems almost related to mine, but not sure.

I am getting feedback from users that when, it seems, i play music, or shooting from games etc while tring to talk is returning sqeeky inaudible sound. It seems when using my speakers (not headphone speakers) it is fine.
if i say, record my self or using an echo software my voice is fine, only through ts. tried 2 codecs, direct and wav and a few other options.

thanks for any help

using latest version of client, win xp pro and an onboard via ac79(i think) sound device

have you checked if the echo FAQ could help you solve your problem ?

hmm, well i was wrong when i said it's fine if i use say, sound recorder. i pulled my mic out and played music and recorded. and it recorded the music without an mic. how do i turn off, er, 'internal' recording......

sorry, not a teamspeak issue after all. maybe someone could still help :D

you are right, that's not a TS problem. However, we've answered this soooo many times, why not another one:

open your windows or soundcard sound mixer (windows: little loudspeaker icon in the sys tray). Options - settings and then choose recording. Select all levels i nthe lower part of the window then click ok. now mute all sources without the "micro".
Under playback you should mute the micro.

Hope that helps.

PS: this would be "How to fix (b) from the FAQ"

sorry if i am soundering like a complete noob. i did read and try the FAQ first. i may be doing sometihng wrong, just not sure what you mean by

" now mute all sources without the "micro". "

unlike the playback section, i can only select and not mute. i've tryed lowering sound as much as possible. i must be missing something

sorry for the anoyance

just don't select them (as you did). Is there no recording source "what you hear" or "Sum" or called what ever ?
If not, then it should work the way you have set it now.
