I need help with teamspeak

i was wondering i'm really new a friend recommended this to me and how do i set up my own server or ip address, i read the manual and it seems not to work. for ip address do i put my own ip addres or a random one that i think up, cuss i can't connect to servers. only the webserver list. And also when I find an empty web server how do i make my self an administrator? I want to add sub channels and passwords but it won't let me. Thanks

can you post if your talking about the server or client (would be helpful if you post in the appropriate forum section).
There's much to ofew info given. You're talking about IP's,... where do you want to set them ?

Login in as an Admin or superdmin into the webadmin is described in the manual ! Also the process of generating new useres (with or without admin rights).
