Packet Loss *HELP*

I am experiencing packet loss in my game, so I went into my Linksys control panel and disabled Block WAN Request and set my MTU to 576. Well, now I can't connect to my TS2 server when I have these settings. I connect and I supposedly join but I don't, what I mean is I have auto-reconnect on and when I attempt to rejoin I am informed I am already in the server. So, the TS2 server recognizes me trying to log in but it does not register fully. Is there anything else I can do, or any other settins in the Linksys router I could set if anybody knows about them.
