I am having trouble with connecting to a server. When I try to connect, it says no response from the server. I KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE INSIDE BECAUSE I TALKED TO THEM ON AIM! Also, my user name an password are correct. I am using Windows XP and have no firewall software installed.
client log ?
no replay means you have no phys connection so either you used a wrong IP:port or a firewall/packet filter/... is blocking your connection.

hey i'm the admin of that server hellsbells is talking about... and its not on my end... he doesnt have a firewall up because i've gone through everything with him... so it has to be something else... i know the server is up and running because its on my computer and everyone else can get on without a problem... so yeah... theres something else wrong somewhere else...

Ive got the same problem with my guilds server in CoH. I remember what happened before this tho. I installed the new Zone Alarm Pro update, fired up City of Heroes, turned on TS...and i just couldnt connect. I could connected to the other channels but not this server. I shut off zone alarm, rebooted, reinstalled ts, re-entered the server info, and nothing works. I even traced the ping from me to the server.
Heres the log:

Yeah you didnt tell me how to fix it. You just taunted me..... :(
timeout: setting the client into debug mode, can help (that's not posted for the first time, so you'll find a lot of info about this one)

...... I didnt taunt you i just provided more info (since you didnt even give a log of your problem). Were both in the same boat might as well give more info to the people that can solve it.

Yeah it is selected to debug mode. I tried to install McAfee and went into the firewall settings where it says that CoD and TS are being granted full acess. Well, that didn't work. I will post the log as soon as i know how.
I miss CoD..... :(

hey me and my friend both found this in out tsclient logs WARNING,All,procedure TDICallBack.execute,"The operation had no effect." or "The device buffer overflowed and some input was lost." or "The device exists but is not currently attached." or "The change in device properties had no effect." this message it in there 20+ times
i think it might have something to do with the problem. see if this is your log after a failed login to a server.

006,...
Do a search(forum) on those error messages, and see what you get. I spent quite alot of time on those very issues, and saw no definitive answers.
This isnt intended to be a smartass answer. Maybe you will have better luck than I did. :)
