Hi everyone

Well after using teamspeak for a while i have not managed to solve my problem, despite help from numerous other players (thanks tezz)

As far as i know, teamspeak is set up correctly, people have told me that they can hear me and the quality is excellent, and i can confirm that because i have made a few recordings too.

Heres the problem: Lets say, that i say "Lamas are bigger than Frogs"

Other people (and my recording) say: "Lamas are bigger"

I have little idea to what might cause this.... but it looks like some of the message is being "lost" somewhere into the void. The quality is perfect, there is no fuzzing or crackling.

I seem to be able to get across short sentances ok... its just more longer sentances that have parts chopped off.

Thanks for any insight

Little

My system specs are in my profile, bu tif you need more ill gladly post them.

Things that are important:

- do you use voice activation or push to talk? Try the latter, and keep that button pressed down - does the problem persist? If not, then probably you have voice activation setup, and it is to aggressive, just tune it more direction whisper until it works right.

- if push to talk combined with constant key-pressing does still fix the problem...what is the packetloss of you and of the friend listening? You can check it via rightclick on nick -> get connection info. You might also want to make sure its not a server bandwidth thing...try joining voice.teamspeak.org, make your own room with a 16 KBit Speex codec, and do some testing there.

I have been using key activation all along, but once i changed it to voice activaition to see if it would remedy the situation. needless to say it didnt :)

Packet loss: to five players was 0.5%, 0.3%, 0.2% 0.5%, 3.2%

I dont know what packet loss is... but i have the impression the lower the better... and that looks pretty low.

Something i just noticed that may/may not be of any help:

on clicking connection> server connection info i found

Packets sent by server: 78K
Bytes sent by server: 5.94mb
Packets recieved by server: 40k
Bytes recieved by server: 2.19

If it means anything, there seems to be a big difference in data sent and recieved.

Input Bandwith (S): 120.00 bytes
Output bandwith (S): 144.00 bytes.

Someone told me these numbers are too low... after a refresh i found something alarming.

Input was now 1020 bytes
Output was now only 3 bytes

Massive fluctuations in the bandwith. I have been advised that this could be the problem and is related to a bad internet infrastructure in my area. is this true?

Thanks
