I.e no sound from any application other than TS.

System specs:

MSI nForce2 based MoBo (K7N2G)
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
512 Mb RAM
Onboard Sound Storm audio.
Fedora Core 1 with default kernel.
ALSA 1.0.5a.
Driver i8x0.

TeamSpeak sometimes hangs and killing it trhough console is needed. Plus (as the main problem states) there's no other sound sources... ALSA was configured running the supplied scritp to generate the needed devices (./snddevices). And the modules are loaded using the syntax found in the ALSA page (I could do it in way similar to how the oss driver is loaded, following my FC2 modprogbe.conf file, but I like the other way better, is cleaner IMO). The driver was built with OSS emulation and sequencer support (./configure --with-cards=i8x0 --with-oss=yes --with-sequencer=yes).

I suggest you to use arts (if you're using KDE). Enable full duplex and then start apps and games with artsdsp -m .

Well I use GNOME, not KDE. I've already tried with artsd and with esd to no avail. Thanks for the suggestion though. I remember reading something about ALSA and TS with the nForce chipset, so maybe I'll just have to tweak a little bi my .alasarc in order to avoid TS lockin completely the sound.

PS: When is TS gonna support ALSA instead of OSS??

Anyone have an idea as to why does this happen?
