I can open teamspeak but when I try to join a server I get the error message:

"WaveInOpen Specified resource is already allocated".

Followed by a repeating error message and the windows start cascading saying:

"Access violation address 00494ad5 in module teamspeak.exe. Read of address 00000000."

It gives me this error when i try and do a loopback test as well.

My setup is:

Dell Inspiron 8100
W2k Pro
ESS Maestro PCI Audio (WDM)
1G P3 CPU
256 RAM
TS 1.5.0.6

Thanks

"WaveInOpen Specified resource is already allocated"
Maybe you have an program running, that is using the microphone.

Also some soundcards do not like to use wave in while the wave out is in use (like by a game or other application) unless the "Legacy emulation" is enable providing another 16 bit wave in & wave out. Since it's possible your soundcard doesn't have "legacy emulation" perhaps you should trying using directsound for sound input or for sound output instead.
(this can be found inTS menu: Advanced/Sound Devices)

Tick the directsound box and select the name of your soundcard from the dropdown menu to the right of it. Start by trying output since wave in works better for sound recording, but if that doesn't work then switch back and use directsound for Sound Input.
