This seems to be the same problem that I and several others are having with the teamspeak server lately and may (or may not) have to do with an unforseen incompatability between Windows XP and sqlite. Basically, the server software is downloaded onto your computer and when you click on the TS Server icon to bring up the server, it will act as if it's going to load and then fail on the load. In checking the server log an error message come up as follows:

---------------------------------------------------------------
-------------- log started at 25-07-04 12:20 -------------
---------------------------------------------------------------
25-07-04 12:20:31,ALL,Info,server, Server init initialized
25-07-04 12:20:31,ALL,Info,server, Server version: 2.0.20.1 Win32
25-07-04 12:20:32,ERROR,All,SQL, Database initialization error: Library "sqlite.dll" not found.
25-07-04 12:20:32,ERROR,All,SQL, Database initialization error: Library "sqlite.dll" not found.
25-07-04 12:20:32,ERROR,All,SERVER, Start_Server: unable to open database
25-07-04 12:20:32,ERROR,All,GENERAL, critical error, shutdown initiated

I've checked and double checked and the sqlite.dll is clearly a part of the download and in another thread Dummer Sack posted the following potential fix:

"Well, yes it helps. On the other hand it doesn't.

We have seen this error quite a few times. But no one was able to resolve it as far as I know.
It seems that something with the windows that the people who get this error are useing is wrong.

You can try the following:
Make sure that you have sufficient rights to load the dll (Try to install and run TS as administrator for testing purposes).
Try to redownload sqlite.dll from here (http://www.hwaci.com/sw/sqlite/download.html) or here (ftp://ftp.teamspeak.org/developer/server/b51/binary_windows/).
Try to copy sqlite.dll in your windows system directory.
Make sure that MSVCRT.DLL is installed on your system somewhere."

I attempted to do what was suggested, however the server still doesn't work and still has the same error message. So, since I'm not a programmer, I'm not really sure how to fix a problem like this.

I also wish to add that while I've used the teamspeak client on other peoples servers, I've never been able to get the server to work on my main computer (8 month old HP with all the lights and bells so to speak), but it did work on my laptop computer for a short period of time. I believe that one of the windows xp "updates" may have caused an incompatability between sqlite and xp windows based computers, but I could be wrong.

My ultimate goal is to get teamspeak to work from the domain name www.szwor.com (currently under construction), but it would be nice if I could get it to work properly from my computer so I can learn how to properly use it. I hope the above information helps a little bit towards discovering the actual cause of the error. If not, I'd be more than happy to continue researching the problem, but I need someone to point me in the right direction.

I've been reading through fixes and potential fixes for almost 2 hrs, only problem is I don't understand a lot of the technical jargon that I'm seeing and I don't know how to write code either. I see now that quite a few people have been having this problem both on windows and linux servers. Wouldn't it be wise to post on the main page that this problem exists and then either ask the devs to add an updated version of ts2 or maybe a bugfix file that can be downloaded and the challenged people like myself won't need extra strength alleve? :)
