The teamspeak server for my clan recently changed. However the old ip is always in the ip field when i goto quick connect. I try entering it in my address book, but everytime i close TS and reopen it, my addressbook is blank.
I also tried reinstalling to change the quick connect ip. Didn't work, still has the old ip
Any thoughts...
Simple Solution:
Uninstall TeamSpeak and before you re-install it go into your "My Computer" browser and go to Program Files (or whatever folder you installed TeamSpeak 2 to) and delete the entire TeamSpeak RC2 directory including all the files that will still remain even after uninstalling the software.
Then install all over again.
When in doubt, uninstall and then re-install in a NEW directory. That will solve the problem too (if you don't know how to get rid of the old one).
Be sure to have the latest version of TS otherwise the problem might start again.
why not go to the local address book and right click thr ofending server at it's name and deleate it . then find it in the master server list , with it's new ip address and recopy it to the local adress book to save it .... go to the web server list find it and "copy to local addressbook" at bottom right corner
That was my initial response, but he said that even if he added a new server it would be missing after he shut down. This just means a log file is corrupted / is not saving the data properly. So the easy way is to just do a complete re-install, but that requires he deletes all the directories as well.
