OK, let's see if I can explain this.

I am trying to use the webpost, and it is showing up, but none of the channel/player info is there (TCPQueryPort error). The TS server and MySql are not on the same machines. When I point TS to someone else's webpost, it works fine, so my issue is somewhere on my webserver. Since I am brand new to PHP/Mysql, I am grateful for patience, and layman type answers.

I have tried changing the port to something more common, still nothing. I think I am to the point where mysql needs a socket or port enabled (see, I am a newb). This is what I know:

gllcTS2: v4.1.7
PHP: v4.3.2
MySQL: 4.0.18
Server: Darwin

Any help trying to figure out why I can't get 51234 to communicate would be great!!!

Just to clarify, I am completely stumped. No matter what I try, I can not make the TCP connection. I must be missing some setting on the webserver. I am so frustrated, any help is appreciated.

I have tried changing the TCP query port to a known open port. Nothing.

Maybe has something to do with my user is Mysql? I am using root. Should I have a different user? The sql server is running on Mac OS X Server 10.3 (see the version numbers above) and the TS server is running on a Win98 box. I am getting the server name etc, just not the channels, etc. Through the admin interface (in gllcts2), I can get all my PHP/MySQL info, if that would help anyone help me.

I know TS is configured properly as it works on other people's sites. Just not mine. I am about to give up on this, which I never do, but until learn more about PHP, I'm gonna have to. Please, any help is welcome!!

Ok, i have just read some sentences.

For using webpost you don't need the TCP Query Port. You only need to set up the webpost script on your server. First editing the config.php, after that upload the whole script and execute the ./admin/install.php and perform the setup. That's all. Then you need to enter your webpanel for your ts server and point the webpost post url to the location of the webpost.php of the script. Normally not more and not less.
After some minutes your server would be shown in the serverlist.

I have done some changes major on the source code, but only for including the script into my website.

Right, I have done all that. The server is shwoing in the list just fine, however viewing the details only shows the tcpqueryport error. No players, channels, etc. Just the error. So, naturally I am assuming it has something to do with port 51234. That port is open on the TS server because I can see it, and all the details on other people's server. However, on my server I cannot. The firewall is off too.

Thanks anyway for the reply.

Sure that it is a tcp-query error? Normally it is a udp-query error, because the webpost script is not working with tcp. i have also installed this script and i'm not using the standart tcp-query port 51234. But instead of you i have no problems with viewing the server details

I see the server is running on a windows system. Please check the firewall and / or the router. perhaps there is the mistake.

And what is about forwarding your port in your router?
you need to forward Port 8767 for UDP. Perhaps you have set TCP instead of UDP. There is an option in your router, where you can set the public port, the protocol type, the computer, which handels this port and which port it has on the computer.

well forwarding and opening are the same, but i have ta check for TCP and UDP

WebPost will not work for me.
I used it in various configurations for over a year.
We upgraded to the mySQL backend...
To make a long story short, endless options were tried, but it does not work.

Does ANYONE have WebPost working that uses mySQL as the back end?

Thank you,

Ernie.

ps. My fix is to get a new solution if made public (I hope!)

Yeah, I am having the same problem as Crunge, like it half way works where it says: 1/1 user the name of the server etc... but when I click on it it says TCP error, on the router it's set to udp and for the webpost TCP. WTF is wrong.
