I installed and configured the Server, then connected to it with the Client along with another person. We used it for several hours without any problems, then disconnected.

Now however when I try to start the Server again, I right-click the tray icon and move to "Administration" but it is grayed out. What can I do, so that I can click on it again?

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

m.

could you post the log file ?

ever tried to:
- shut down (or kill the server process) and restart it
- restart the computer

I'm having the same problem as m.martin. I've restarted TSServer, restarted PC. Still grayed out. I can access administration via the web interface, but not by right-clicking. Using v.2.0.19.40. Worked fine for several months. Any clues? Thx!

Have you added the server icon to your startups directory?
I discovered that if you do this on my machine, windows fails to create an icon for it in the taskbar although the server is still running. Running another copy of the administrative console creates the grayed out administration option.

Restart the machine. Don't start the admin console
Press control alt delete then look for server_windows.exe
This is the server executable. If it exists then you are attempting to automatically start the server on start up.

Only one instance of the server can run at one time.
I didn't even bother to find a workround for this, I just went back to manually starting the server.

I am also having this problem. I was using the server for about 2 months with no problems at all and just last night, the administration button is greyed out for me. I do not have this program in the startup menu and have made sure there is not more than one running at the same time

hi, i had the same problem for ages with the server, i couldnt access the admin on server icon, it was greyed out also.

through extensive research, i found that if you have a router setup, instead of direct to line, you need a static ip setup, and make sure all the correct ports on router are forwarded. have a look at this website to help you out. When on this site, select the model no. and make of router from list, then select TeamSpeak as the application, and it will bring a step by step guide to forwarding the ports, also how to set up a static ip, which is a must.

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm

if you dont run through a router, i will try find another solution. however most probs i have seen on this forum with admin being greyed out, are router based.

My TS Administration is also grayed out...
I double checked and yes I have just one server running. I bring it up the same way I have for 3 years...and for the last few months, it works fine then BAM...Suddenly it will be grayed out. The ONLY way I have found to fix this is to delete my server and re-add it. This, however, is a COMPLETELY ANNOYING way to attempt to fix something that shouldn't be happening anyway. I don't have my IP bound to on my ini file...I just restart my computer every week or so and double click on the icon on my desktop and TS starts. It is the same everytime. I haven't changed anything yet this issue keeps returning to me and apparently to others.
I have rebooted my computer for the umteenth time to no avail.
I am only running one TS which I made sure by my task manager.
I do not have my IP bound to on the ini file.
I havn't changed ANYTHING on my TS...
I run a static IP which I have set up from my university. I run no router. I plug in directly from the wall to my computer.
I have run TS for about 3 years...This issue started for me a few months ago and deleting the server is just not a viable way to fix this problem.
Can you please just explain what we need to do in order to allow us to utilize the administration from our computers.

Thanks in advance.

C'mon, I know there's got to be a better answer than just deleting and re-adding my server because this issue will just re-occur.
Puleeeeze someone help us with this?

I asked this on another thread and haven't gotten any response. It was an old thread so I'm posting a new topic in hopes to get some help.

My TS Administration is also grayed out...
This problem has become more urgent since one of my servers has been hacked and I need to change the password and delete the accounts this person has made so they will be off my server permanently.

I double checked and yes I have just one server running. I bring it up TS the same way I have for 3 years...and for the last few months, everything works fine then BAM!! I'll go to the access tray on the bottom right and right click the TS server icon and suddenly the administration choice will be grayed out. The ONLY way I have found to fix this is to delete my server and re-add it. This, however, is a completely annoying way to attempt to fix something that shouldn't be happening anyway. When I delete my servers, everyone has to be added again. I wouldn't mind so much, but it takes so much time and this problem happens over and over. I did see the brilliant fix someone came up with but since I don't have my IP bound to on my ini file, there isn't an IP to delete to fix it that way....I just restart my computer every week or so and double click on the icon on my desktop and TS starts. It is the same every time. I haven't changed anything yet this issue keeps returning to me and apparently to others as well.
I have rebooted my computer for the umpteenth time to no avail.

I have run TS for about 3 years...This issue started for me a few months ago and deleting the server is just not a viable way to fix this problem.
Can you please just explain (in a very dummyed down version) what we need to do in order to allow us to utilize the administration from our computers.

Thanks in advance

It is difficult for me to believe that none of the TS gurus have no way to fix this issue we are having with our servers...
Please re-visit this problem and help us fix our servers.

Thank you in advance
