Is it possible to setup a server so that it handles normal connections as well as dial-in connections (not modem/internet, but regular phone calls)? Something that would not require 'any' bandwidth, and also be accesible without even having a computer, or internet connection... But would still work for those who connected 'normally' via their computer/internet?

you confused or what ? yes ts can use 56k conections , no ts cant take phone calls , no you need to have a computer ts is loaded on it , and you can set ts up on a lan conection "inside your house" thru a router or hubs and use it in your house between as many pc's as you want no internet conection !

nope, not confused... [snip].
i was asking more from potential business market perspective... conference calling... providing a way for people to join a conference call via several different methods - regular phones, or cell phones, VoIP phones, and those who happen to be sitting in their office (or home), at their desk, with their pc, internet and teamspeak...
sure, the people at their desks could just use VoIP (Vonage, ATT Call Vantage, Etc), but that requires CPE devices and a subscription.
yes, you'd probably have to run a ts server somewhere where you could have several incoming phone lines... i just happen to work for a company with 'thousands' of phone lines (OC12's, DS3's, etc) and VoIP connectivity.
so the general question is, if you have a phone switch, a teamspeak server, internet connection, VoIP, etc... is there some way to bridge 'regular' phone calls into a teamspeak server... or might there be in an upcoming version.

with teamspeak 2 thats not really possible, maybe with alot of overload.
with teamspeak 3 you get an nice sdk which brings you alot of options which makes all this possible. the only point i see here is that you need to get the "voice" from the phone recorded and vise versa. in europe with isdn it would be pretty easy to write a nice capi application who does that but i never did that on normal "analog" telephone lines, nether i know what type of lines are used outside europe. i can remember that some modems are capable of doing voice recording playback and even dtmf(german word?) recognizing (a phreakers dream 15 years ago :P) .
to sum this up, i think i can answer that question with a , yes one of the upcoming teamspeak 3 versions can do that with some extra developing work (which can be done by a 3rd party).

thank you, i'll keep an eye out for teamspeak 3. and by 'analog' i meant a end users phone at home... the actual phone lines i would look to be using are isdn or ss7.
