This has only begun recently and so finding the solution hasn't been easy, so here's the problem:
I use TS for Flight Sim 2004 exclusively and recently I have had a problem with everyone hearing the engine noise over my voice. First of all, I don't use my speakers, as a matter of fact they're not even plugged in so the sound isn't bleeding off the speakers. I use a headset with boom mic, so somehow, the sounds are mixing, but how? There is a group of us that fly on a regualr basis and we all use a server that we use the "quick connect" setup for.
Here are the settings I'm using:
SOUND SETTINGS:
Output Vol at "normal"
Push to talk
Test codec: CELP 5.1 Kbit
OPTIONS:
Direct Sound
Input & output devices - SoundMAX Digital Audio
Bandwidth on both input and output is "unlimited"
There it is in a nutshell. Any idea why anyone would be able to hear engine sounds coming through when I use a headset with boom mic and no speakers hooked up?
Thanks for any help you can provide!!
