Hi,
I am using the same router. I am having the same problem as person #2 Both my computers can connect to the server using the ts2 client however people outside my network cannot connect to the server. I tried opening ports using the special applications feature on my router config program but its still not working. No one outside my network can hit the server using their ts2 client. Any ideas? if you require additional info please ask. I will continue to browse these forums for answers.

Thanks in advance. :)

simply no other port (for incoming connections). Only 8767 UDP is required if you didn't changed the default port. The other two ports mentioned in the FAQ are not required. Cause of safety they should only be accessible through the LAN.
From within your LAN, you better do not try to use the WAN IP since the experice has shown, that most routers can not handle this => ONLY use the LAN IP !

Timeout: set the clients into debug mode and let them try again. This could help

Guldi,
Thanks for your reply it does tell me a little bit more. However, I just got my router today and am very fresh with it. Where im my router settings do I open this port? is it under firewall? or special applications? and...are there multiple steps to allow people past the firewall on the router to connect to the server or is it just to open port 8767 UDP?

Sorry for being a nubi but we all need to start somewhere...Thanks again in advance :D

open 8767 udp in port fowarding , and as a rule dont open/use DMZ it open all the ports and leaves your lan open to attacks

I've read through some of the posts regarding the following error:
No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

I have a Netgear Web Safe Router model number RP114 running on Win XP.

Per the TeamSpeak documentation, I opened up the port 8767-8768 in my router in the Port Forwarding section in my router administration, and I STILL get this error.

My routers documentation states that the TCP and UDP traffic are passed through the same port.

I've even enabled using the DMZ with my router to determine whether a closed port is responsible for the problem, and the problem still exists.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance! :D

guldi... what do you mean?

The IP Address that I have setup in Port Forwarding is my LAN IP, not my WAN IP. Is this what you mean?

Thanks!

eneableing Dmz = no firewall what so ever.

Your computer will be 100% open to all attacks.

I have DI-604, you only need to open that port, remember to tell the server you changed ports though

I know that enabling the DMZ means absolutely no internet security/firewall, but don't you think that if I were to enable the DMZ just temporarily, that any port problems that I might have, including 8767, would no longer be a problem?

I really don't know what else to do after first setting up por 8767 in the Port Forwarding and it still doesn't work.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks again for your replies!!! :D

Good idea. I thought about this and I went into Network Connections -> Local Area Connection Properties -> Advanced Tab -> I unchecked the "Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet" in Windows XP.

BTW, in the DHCP Table, the computer that I'm planning on using TS is 192.168.0.4, so in Port Forwarding, I setup the "Start Port" to be 8767 the "End Port" to be 8768 and the IP Address to be 192.168.0.4. Currently, I've disabled the Default DMZ Server because I still couldn't get TS to work with enabling it.

Thanks again!
