View Full Version : Outside users disconnected after ~2sec?

I can connect to my TS server fine from within my LAN [D-Link DI-624 rev_C, computer w/ TS server is DMZ host], but when someone from the outside connects, they get disconnected after about 2 seconds. They see my server name and welcome message before this happens. I can use my laptop to connect to the server just fine using either the LAN or WAN ips, and the laptop is also on my LAN. I have tried disabling the windows XP internal firewall [which was already configured to allow teamspeak full access] and that had no effect on the problem. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 Final.

A nutty thing I have noticed, however, is when the other person connects, it increases the number of users appropriately for the time that they are connected [2/16 when my laptop is connected and I refresh server admin as soon as someone else connects before they are disconnected]. However, it NEVER says PLAYER JOINED or PLAYER LEFT on my laptop [which is connected just fine to the server]. The client on my laptop shows no indication that the person was connected at all. Two people have tried to connect, two people have failed with the same disconnect after ~2 seconds issue, and two people were running the latest client. I am running the latest client on my laptop and the latest server on my PC.

Any help at all will be GREATLY appreciated!

could you set the failing clients into debug mode and test again ? This can help in certain circumstances.

Sure, I suppose. Tell me how to do it in idiot language though, because I'll have to paste it to them [I don't have access to any computer outside of my LAN].

Ok, I was browsing and I found a solution that works. Setting the clients into debug mode with the setting under options, restarting the client, and connecting, workes perfectly. Therefore this is a bug in the teamspeak software somewhere since it works fine obviously as long as it is set to debug mode... anyone who knows the dev team please report this :)
