I know this might be a stupid question, but, if i open just ONE port on my router so i can host my own TS server from my computer, can someone directly connect to my computer and hack into it while that port is open, even if I have sufficient protection? or is it not possible to hack into the computer through TS? much help would be appreciated before i proceed. thanks

Im not an expert on hacking stuff but i think that if you have a port sniffer or a virus auto-protect it should be ok, but im not sure if TS monitors the ports. You would have better luck with and open port firewall. :)

I dont know where you could get a port sniffer but it would be good an your part becasue it would alert you if it detected movement through your ports by other people like tryin to hack into your computer, like if they were using a trojan device and were trying to get into your computer a port sniffer should alert you so you can shut down that port!

Yeah, I've been told (After you told me) that a port sniffer alerts the user to any activity or movement within the port. Ahh, thanks. I actually have something kinda like that on another computer just for that same reason. (Protection) Thanks!
