View Full Version : Server just quits while still running
Ok, I didnt have this problem before I upgraded my router, I had been running a D-Link DI-604 and never had a problem, I upgraded to a Linksys Wireless-B BEFW11S4 and the server is wired via cat5 to the router, I have the latest firmware 1.50.14 and have opened up my ports every way i can think of, under applications & gaming I have 8767 open, and under port triggering I have even opened that up [TS2] [8767] to [8767] trigered port range and [8767] to [8767] for the forwarded range UPnP Forwarding is also set for it to udp 8767 and to the ip of the comp. so I'm not sure if its a router problem or not but now that my specs are all out there the problem is, The teamspeak server runs great for a while and im not sure if its a random time or not but eventually goes down, but the server is still running on the computer when i go down to check and if i restart the server it comes right back up and works. Any help with getting this thing to stay up would be awesome.
*Edit* also note i use the TS Block on my site http://mechunit.com and that will still display like its getting a feed from the server (if the computer is off or the ip would be wrong it would generate a small error in that block rather than display anything) so I know that its settings are always right with the router, but still I never had this problem till i got the new router.

thats funny i got that same router and it works for me it's something your doing wrong , you got ports open in too many places , go to the advanced tab in the router and open 8767 udp in PORTFOWARDING and link it to the ip of the pc running TS and check mark the enable box...... undo all that other sh*t you did it's not needed !
ok the only thing open is now under applications & gaming
TS2 [8767] to [8767 [UDP] to the server comps ip enabled.
after the firmware upgrade you dont get an advanced thing anymore its setup more like the dlink but thats where you get to the port range forwarding and it seems to work now, all other crap is off, i'll let ya know later if the server dies out again.
nope, happened again tonight... anyone other ideas from anyone?
can you back up to firmware ver 1.45.10 apr 15, 2004 this is the version i got and i only got the 1 port open 8776 udp in fowarding .on a linksys router "BEFW11S4 ver 2" as per the sticker under the router if your router is ver 2 this firmware should work for you too
it had been happening on the old firmware aswell as this newer one i upgraded the firmware to try and resolve the problem.
i would reset the router re-enter the info and save it , try from scrach sometimes the setting look ok but get mixed up in side the router ???
