Hi there!

Just wantet to ask if the Soundblaster Live! (Value, Player, etc.) works with Teamspeak2 and the kernel sound modules.

In the "Big Soundcard topic" thread "N. Werensteijn" wrote that he had TS2 running with oss. Is this the "free" oss (=kernel modules) or the one I have to pay for (www.opensound.com)?

The ones i used were from the 2.4.19 kernel driver. But maybe those from www.opensound.com work too. I suggest you try it?

I just wanted to know, cause I'm thinking about buying such a card... I just wanted to know if it works with the kernel modules... I don't want to pay for my sound drivers...

Redrat,

I have a sb live! and TS works fine with me.

I don't use the kernel modules but these drivers (v0.19a):
http://sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1

So, don't worry, if the kernel modules don't work (i don't think so) then you will install these emu10k1 drivers (Live! family and Audigy). :) :)

You don't need to pay for drivers...

bye

Linux 2.4.18

Just bought a Soundblaster Live! Player 5.1 for jst 42? and it works out of the box on my Debian/unstable computer. Even multi-channeling is working great... :)
