View Full Version : Teamspeak just stopped working?
on my teamspeak server my internal works but not my external it worked before why not now?
? what ip ? read what you posted it makes no sence , what are you asking
inside your own LAN only use the LAN IP ! The external is only for players fro mthe WAN (www) and usually creates problem when you try to use from the LAN (due to your access device not able to handle this).

I have the same problem.
my internal IP is 192.168.0.50
and my external ip 217.xxx.xxx.xxx is not updated my the TS Server automaticly.
Yesterday it was working. i have changed nothing with my system.
How does the TS Server regocnize the external IP?
My Friends can not connect to my TS Server anymore, although the routerconfig has not changed....

Make sure you have port forwarding set to your internal IP for the port you're using in TS.
Also keep in mind that the client lease might've expired and caused your internal IP to change, I believe this only happens when it expires while you're not connected, otherwise it just renews the lease time on the same IP. The same thing happens if you disconnect your modem for awhile and the lease time from your ISP expires.
If you just got the XP SP2, it comes with a firewall. The firewall is quite friendly as far as I can tell, it'll pop up a window when a program tries connecting and all you need to do is click unblock. You can check the firewall settings by right clicking the two blinking computers in your system tray and clicking "Change Windows Firewall settings", then click the Exceptions tab to see what programs are allowed (the checked ones) and which ones are blocked (the others).
Other than that, without more info I don't know what else would cause it.
