Hi all,

Just wondering if this is feasable. 5 servers on 1 cpu. I am not expecting more than 50 users at any one time on all servers combined. I knows it possible to do this but will there be a huge server load?

wouldn't think so. Just give it a shot and see. It should not crash the System. That is at least the easiest and most reliable way to find out

Can you explain in more detail what it is you are wanting to do? Also what is the OS and specs of the BOX you are trying to run these on?

Thanks

Its a 1.7Ghz Celeron, 256megs of ram. I think I have my answer now anyways. 50 users divided among 5 seperate running servers really shouldnt be a heavy load at all.

as the server does no mixing of voice streams,.... it only forwards packets, it does not require much CPU time.

Could be a problem if he is on a home dialup connection.........

I agree, it's not the machine that's the potential problem, it's the bandwidth. Takes a fat pipe to allow that many people to talk, whether it's on one server or 10 :) Depends on the codecs being used, of course.
