First off, here's my info:

TeamSpeak v1.5.0.6
Windows XP
SB Audigy Audio [D880] (haven't updated drivers online or anything)
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
DirectX v 8.1
No error message
Problem occurs always

So, I start up TS, and it's working fine for about 10-20 minutes. Works fine in-game as well. But after a while, I just stop hearing other people speaking. I test it, nobody hears me. I look at the teamspeak, I press my transmit key, and the green light signifies that I'm talking, but still nobody hears me. So I end up having to disconnect and then reconnect, but I can't have that happening in matches.

Please, any help is appreciated. Thanks.

this is a problem with some NAT devices. TS 2.0 has rectified this problem. for this version if you are able to extend the udp timeout of your NAT device it will be a work around for this version otherwise you will have to upgrade to TS 2.0

And how exactly do I extend the udp of my NAT device? I know, I'd like to use TS2 and I know it works for me, but my clan uses this version for some reason.

what are you using for NAT? if its a linksys router than i know of no way to change it. might want to search through the 1.x forums for the timeout issues some of the guys have come up with work arounds. the only thing i know that worked for the linksys was to put it out on the DMZ

This worked for me with same issue, stops after 10 min and clan is using TS1

I have firmware ver 1.43

Go to Advanced-Forwarding
Ext Port
3721 to 8766 UDP to your game machine IP 192.168.1.1?
1900 to 1901 UDP to your game machine IP """""

Played with it for over an hour with no dropping/reconnecting issues!

Hope this help, other opion is static routing but you are open to the world with that one!!

The only two options under "Advanced" are "Sound Devices" and "Play Notification Notices."

What I neglected to mention in my post was the advanced settings are for your router settings. If you are not using a Linksys router I have no idea how to solve it!

I have a similar problem with my D-Link DSL-504 router, Same OS and soundcard. I have tried port-forwarding and putting my PC in the DMZ but the problem persists.

Also, after a certain amount of time, the room and user list appears to stop updating and I am unable to change rooms since this causes a disconnect. When I reconnect I can still see my old session. This also happens if a try to diconnect manually, my old session is still visible.

If anyone could give me help with this, you would make me very happy and prevent premature hair loss.

Bad form I know to reply to my own post but I've figured out waht is happening. It is timeout but not UDP. For some bizarre reason the D-Link DSL-504 has a TCP timeout of 300.

Unless I change rooms every five minutes I lose the TCP connection but the UDP connection is still there which is why I can still hear everyone unless the change channel or connect after the five minutes.

Now I know what the problem is but I still don't know the solution.

I know the feeling although I did not see ftp traffic you could get this program, to see what you have at your end.
Free (http://www.networkactiv.com/)

Site is not responding now for some reason, but if you have trouble catch me on ICQ 47427941 and I will try and send it to you although that is another issue all together!

Good luck and make sure you have nothing running that would access your network or the net to check with the sniffer!
