ip problem

i got 3 ip's since i have an external modem one never changes and the last 2 change when i turn off the modem and comuter. and the ones that change are the only ones that my friends can connect to. and they are the same ip number. i can connect to all 3. any soloutions?

could you be a bit more specific (what IP's do you have,...) ?
Usually you have 2 IP's:

- a WAN IP which is the one you have when seen fro mthe Internet. This IP is ONLY for users not inside your LAN. If you have a router/NAT Access, you'll need a port forwarding (lot's of posts about this one in the forum) in your router/access device). You get this IP form your ISP and unless you have bought a fix IP, this IP changes when every you reconnect to your ISP. There's a FAQ thread about Dyn. IP, READ IT !

- a LAN IP (usually in the range of 192.168. ) which is ONLY for users in the same LAN. This IP is depending on your settings fix or dynamic.
