--> Using Earphones <--

WHen I first install teamspeak on a new installed pc it works fine. Then later on(can take a month or 2 days) while I'm using teamspeak and starting different games, suddenly while I turn off a game back into windows, my mates on TS tells me that there is a terrible noise coming from me every time I click push to talk.

I turned off Mic boost, and the worst noise is gone, but the can still hear a lot of noise form me. When I trie the self test, it sounds like I'm speaking on a bad phoneline from inner China with sparkling all over the place.

This is the 6th time it's happend to me, and all the times I'm quiting a game when it happens. I've tried reinstalling every driver, soundcard(even different ones) on the whole OS but so far I'm only able to get ride of the problem by reinstalling the OS (WinXP).

Now I can hear them like before..all clear, but they hear me and fizzy pop.

When you reinstall a driver in WinXP, it look at the driver version and if it's the same version it doesnt over wright it, just like the codec when you install TS again. Is there any way the forcebly install the codec's used by TS, and maybe DX9.X and sound card? Or maybe some way to remove the drivers completely before reinstalling?

Please help me guys(and girls), I'm not that into how things work in XP, but I use TS about 5-18 hours a day and my mates is getting tired of all the noice... :)

usually this is a problem of the sound driver and not the codecs.
Do you have a built in sound chips or a real sound card ? If first one, I HIGHLY suggest you buy a real card as onboard chips as very often the cause of problems. Their rec. quality is usually very bad.

I do have a Audigy 2 ZS and have tried it on 3 different soundcards.

And read the post. I dont have the problem at first...it accures after having TS on and quiting certain games. The problem is Only in TS, if I record to a wave recorder without TS the sound is good.

Is there some way to remove and or replace the drivers/codec used by TS?

I'll ask again...:

Is there some way to forcebly remove and or replace the drivers/codec used by TS?

Because TS is the ONLY prgram that get this fault! When I uninstall TS, and install it again, the install program check if the drivers/codecs are inplace and dont overwrite them if their there...

Just so I dont have to f. reinstall the whole XP every bloody time...

Yes, mine also stopped sending anything yesterday. I've tried reinstalling but the installer won't overwrite the codecs, it simply states they are there and ends itself. All sounds work properly in all games, the microphone and aux in channels work just fine aswell and I can hear myself with the self test but noone in the channel I am in can hear anything I say.

Since you can do the locale loopback test, I highly doubt this has anything to do with your codecs (they are not responible for transmitting).

- Have you voicerights in the specific channel ?
- Can you send voice on a different server / channel ?
