Ok guys. I'm a new TeamSpeak user, and I'm getting the same as socmarine.
When I try to connect to my clan's server, I get the message about the server not being online, or something. However, I can connect to the public server fine.
I have a wireless router, and ZoneAlarm.
So far, I have uninstalled ZA, and set my router to DMZ, but still no luck. It doesn't seem to change the fact that I can't connect to SFOD's server, despite being able to ping it fine.
So does anyone have any suggestions?

you dont need dmz it opens all the ports to your pc to the world !!! not good ! , and you only need port forarding if your running the server on your lan , all though i opened a port for a second server hjosted else were i conect too becuse i was getting time out errors --- don't know why and now i don't with the port open ??
I take it your clan's server is not running on your machine.
First of all, make sure you're running the most current client version (2.0.32.60).
For a pure client connection to a server running outside your LAN you need neither DMZ nor port-forwarding.
Does that problem occur only with that specific server or with any server you try to connect to? Try the official TS server for example.
If you can't connect to any TS server then probably your router is the cause of your trouble. I've talked to people whose router had a very restrictive firewall that wouldn't allow outgoing connections on other than the standard ports you typically use (http, ftp, ssh, smtp, pop3).
In that case try disabling your router's firewall and see how things go from there.

I can't connect to my clan's server (it's on a different computer) and I couldn't connect to a server set up by a friend of mine on his computer.
I can, however, connect to the TeamSpeak servers.
I currently don't have any firewall at all (neither ZoneAlarm, or the generic WinXP firewall) and although my router isn't currently set to DMZ, I tried it like that to make certain it wasn't something on my end.
An admin on our server has told me it's not because of an IP ban.
Is there something simple I'm missing, or is this more sinister?
Edit: Where would I find my server's firewall? I tried port forwarding the 8768 and 8767 ports (using my clan server as the destination address), and using them both UDP and the other way (I forget what it's called) but that didn't work either.
Also, feel free to move this to the English Client board where I guess it is more suitable. I'll imagine that andy's dumbassretard post was about me and my excuse was that that post was my first ever visit to this forum. I've also read the manuals and all of the posts relating to help I could find, but didn't see anything that applied to me, or that I hadn't tried.

Has anyone come up with a possible solution to this problem?
I noticed the thread hasn't been moved either... Surely this isn't the right place for it.
Don't setup a port forwarding when using only the client and don't forward any ports to your clan TS server, this will DEF. not help you !
- have you made a port scann on your clan TS server, is port 8767 UDP open ?
- What error message do you get actually (no replay or timeout), see your client log and the server log
- Have you and the clan server admin tested the recommendation from the FAQ thread (some people can't connect...) ?

Thanks guldi, I'm checking with someone more technically adept than I am to see if we can try your suggestions. As for the client log, it says this:
[18:32:42] Connecting to (ip information).
[18:32:45] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
Thanks again for the continuing help, hopefully we can work this out and I can use this program.

i think i got my server working right maybe i changed the port to 67.8.59.118:8767 ... but it gives time out errors how do i fix?

trying to use the WAN IP within the LAN ? Only use the LAN IP inside the LAN !
Else: try the client in the debug mode.
