Mic not keying up..worked before

Yesterday I installed a file ot caht with my girlfriend over AIM Video. after a reboot my computer no longer would key up my mic no matter what i used for a push to talk button. I dont even see the green light. People on AOL instant messenger can hear me when i talk to them but TS doesnt work with voice activation or push to talk. I can hear them. Like i said it went from working to not working after a simple reboot. I've tried uninstalling TS to no avail. Tried doing a system restore and that didnt work either. Any tips?

ts setting tab / options lookto see if something changed , dont know your last selections in there mess around a bit you will get it
