Client not hearing Audigy 2 frontpanel MIC

I've plugged a headset into the front panel used by some Audigy 2 cards. The mic appears to be working, when unmuted I can hear everything through the headphones fine, but the client doesn't seem to be accepting input from the mic2 port, no matter how loud I shout :)

Is there no support for this port, or do I need to reconfigure something?

I too would like to know if there is a work around for this. Since the Audigy Platinum is a surround sound card it doesn't make since to plug a gamer's headphones/mic setup in the back, and I'd really like to plug them in the front so I don't have to swap the headphones with my 5.1.

Okay, this proved to be simple enough, I simply needed to change the selection in my Recording Volume properties from Microphone to Line In/MIC2.
