I am having problems connecting to teamspeak servers, i am behind a wireless router and the message i get from the TS client is:
[12:37:05] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
I know the server is online as my friends are on it, and the guy who's server it is has tried to help but even he doesn't know what's wrong. I have WinXP SP2 installed but the windows firewall is switched off and my norton firewall is set to let TS access the internet at all times. Can anyone help me with this problem, it would be most appreciated!

!
you dont need to open ports enless "your" running the server , with that said if the server is on your buds pc and you get that error your not using the right port # :87** ??? behind the ip like 112.123.12.68:8766 <--- made up ip

let me refraze this you dont need to open port in "your router's" port fowarding to conect to others ... meaning your using a ts client... but yes you do need to allow ts in firewalls and other app's that stop ts from leaving your system .

I'd say that's not totaly correct. If your firewalls blocks outgoing traffic, you must allow it to connect to TS servers on the specific IP and Port.
If no replay is what you get, you're having a network problem (firewall in router, OS,...).
