I am having trouble connecting to the server running on my Linux Box. I am running SuSE 8.2 Pro.
I have an Internet connection and my windows machine can ping the linux machine, and both machines are inside a firewall...connected through a router.
One thing I have noticed is that in the SuperAdmin Config screen where it shows connection stats, they are all 0.
Did I install something wrong, is something not turned on or off for that matter. I am a Linux newbie, but I am learning in hopes to ditch Windows before Longhorn SCREWS up our lives.
Any help would be greatly appricieated.

is any firewall running?
iptables -L -v --line-numbers (execute as root and it will list your iptable-rules)
also your net-structure isn't clear to me... is it one router that connects your LAN to the internet and two computers in the LAN, one win, one linux?
did you run the ts-server by using the startscript (./teamspeak2-server_startscript start), etc... (see "ps aux | grep server_linux")...
please read the forum rules!

Ok...I figured some one would help...Thanks.
I use Comcast High Speed, so I have the standard cable modem to gateway router setup. There is the firewall through the router but the proper ports have been forwarded. I have 4 systems connected to the router, the sons, the daughters, my main system and then the linux box. The linux box has internet connectivity, in fact as I type I am upgrading to SuSE 9.1 I think it is.
I can connect to the Server Super/Admin stuff, and that all looks good, except for as mentioned before that the bytes per sec/min, packet transfer rates, that kind of stuff all show zero (0).
Is there a firewall in SuSE itself that might be stopping connections that I am unaware of? Keep in mind I am a Linux Noobie so....................
Thanks in advance!
Ken
PS. The kids machines run WIN 98 SE, My main system runs Windows 2000, and then the Linux machine is SuSE 8.2 pro in the process of becoming 9.1 which so far looks pretty darn nice!

Got it working...No Problem after the upgrade to 9.1. Only thing to figure out now is why my mic won't work.
