I finally got Teamspeak loading and allowing me to hear what is giong on, but I can not get it to capture anything. I can hear myself speaking into it and I have checked if capturing is turned on and it all is... but it won't capture anything.

Can someone help me please?

You may have an issue with a system "Listner" or the input is not correctly working. What flavor of Linux do you use and what kind of sound card do you have?

Edit: Ok I answerd my own question :p Since you have Mandrake you might want to make sure that you do not have any other programs trying to use the device. Sharing the audio device can be tricky, if you have another recorder you might want to try it there and see if you can record a sample of your voice. If that works then it is probably the Teamspeak client, where you do not have it configured properly. Check your buffer size, how it is recording (Ex, Voice Activated, or Keypress) and also check what device it is listening on. If you have dual sound cards (Ex, one on the Motherboard and one External) the client may have the wrong one selected. Try that and let us know!

Nothing else is using the device, if something was then TS boots up and shows everything as muted and I can't unmute. Recording doesn't seem to work anywhere, but I can't figure out why. It's a Soundblaster 16 (i think) in Mandrake 10.1 Community.

You might want to check your settings then, It sounds like you may not have Full Duplex enabled or available which will cause that. Check and see if your perticular card supports that and if it does, make sure that it is enabled in the Mandrake Controll Center.

Jake how do u check for that? I got "my" mic to work but it doesn't work to the full potential. It's very faint. My mic volume is turned up all the way. I've tried turning up the output volume. That makes the people that are talking sound like crap. It helps a little but I guess not enough to keep it there. I can hear myself fine on the kmixer thing fine. Any suggestions or anything. I'm using Suse 9.2 but since they are all using the same kernel I'm sure I can get help. Thank you.
