Server setup help please.

I am trying to connect to my TS server IP, but it won't let me. It is the World IP and I have the server customized, but it tells me when I try to connect that the server may be offline or TS is not running it. Any ideas? Thanks.

try to conect to YOUR server with 127.0.0.1 as the ip ... when you use the real world ip form the pc with the server loaded on it the information goes out to the net and stays there not knowing how to get back so to speak the 127.0.0.1 is what is called a local loopback ip so it never leaves your pc

don't use the WAN IP withhin your own LAN, only use the LAN IP or even the localhost if server is on the same machine as client (as m&m described). Most routers can't handle requests to the own WAN IP from within the LAN.

I like to use 'LOCALHOST' as my address when talking to my own test server. Help elimiate 'Oops, wrong local IP address' issues.
