Well first off if I remember correctly in ts if your record it show's up. Another thing it's prob not illegal most of the stuff people do on the net isn't illegal yet since they have not made really any laws for it. How it works with phone recordings were I am you don't have to tell anyone that your doin it as long as someone that is on that tape know's the recording is goin on and is talking. So if I was talkin to you on the phone and I was recording it's legal. I wouldn't worrie about it to much since you prob can't get anywhere with it. Now if you were giving out personal info card number or somethin like that well then first off you should never do that it's like givin out your card number over a cell phone or cordless to easy to get. If there was nothin important on the recording I wouldn't even worrie about it. Hope this helps.

he was not recording it with teamspeak, but an outer program so there was no way that me and my friend would know that he was doing it..and I just want to scare him because with what he recorded my friend got in deep **** and I want too scare the kid who recorded it, so is there any law that protects us of him recording? because I do kno win the US there is a law of some sort with that stuff..

Well like I said before I don't think there is any law being broken what is it that he said that got him in so much trouble. If it was that bad you prob shouldn't say it on TS anyways especially when there are other people in there that you don't know. Like I said to it's like sayin your info on an cell phone or cordless not a good place to say it if you don't want people to be listening.

A TS dev is a TS dev, and not a US law specialist. All i know in germany it is not legal to record somebody without him accepting you to do so. This applies to recording telephone calls too. In sweden on the other hand its perfectly legal...Ask a lawyer or read the law.
