The Combat Flight Sim team I belong to has a TS channel on one of the official TS servers. The problem is, unwelcome "guests" seem to be able to locate our TS server and log on and disrupt our games with their idiotic behaviour.

Is it not possible to make our TS channel 100% private, so that even anyone logging on as a "guest" must know the password? Actually, we do not want "Guests", the server and TS channel is supposed to be restricted to members only.

There also seems to be no easy way to ban anyone, unless we've missed something.

This, to us seems to be the only significant problem with TS. It should be possible to have it 100% private.

Teamspeak, your response?

not in somone elses server you cant do away with the guest1 log in but if you rent a server or host for your self you can add this to the server.ini "globalset DisAllowedClientName=Guest1" &
these lines to the bad names file
server
Guest1
>ok

this will block all guest logins but as stated this is server wide and can only be done on a server that you have access to the .ini & bad names list

I suggest your server admin, take the server off the public list. Then add a password to joint the server. This way, "Guests" need a pass to join, and already registered members dont need the pass. Also, you can look in the Teamspeak server log to get the IP address of these guests and then ban them that way.

Since the whole server should be for members only, why don't you just set a server password? Unregistered people need to have the server password to join, registered people just need their normal password.

Our administrator has requested, numerous times, that our server be private. TS admin seemingly ignore the request or say that it's not a publicly listed one.

If it's not publicly listed, how do people access it?

Unfortunately, our administrator's computer crashed and he's purchased a new one. Since then, he's unable to access any TS administration data.

You can even set a server password with "mere" serveradmin (SA) privileges, IF you have access to the web interface, that is.
In the meantime you could password your play channel and only tell that password to the people who need to know.
