TS server with router problems

ok, i used to run a TS server so i know how it works (when it does) But now i use a router and my friend cant connect to my server, so obviously its a router problem right?? ok so i got kazaa and i couldnt connect-a router problem again i assumed. After days of messing around in the router and reverting it to the factory specs a couple dozen times :mad: i got to the MAC address and clones it n stuff, so kazaa started working, but teamspeak doesnt. Ive done all the usuall things to get new ip addresses (releasing/renewing) but to no avail. He always get the same error that TS is not running at that adress ect. ect. If anyone has some ideas or experienced this too plz my sorry a** out ;)

http://www.xbchelp.com/router/ this site has many router walk thrus and may be of some help , set port fowarding to 8767 udp to lan ip of pc with ts server running on it and enable ... dont use the ports in the walk thrus there walk thrus for another app but are good sourse of information

yeah ive checked that site and i use a WRT54GS which isn't on that list.

well i did check one of the routers that looked similiar to mine. Some of the menus say different things but its basically the same and i threw the port in there and everything, ill have to wait and see if he can connect now.

why are you posting that here? Mac's suck :PPP Anyway, i opened up the 8767 port for TS, but my friend still can't connect im running out of options here

yes actually, i have zonealarm, and that was the first culprit i thought of, so i shut it down and it still didn't work.

i had the same problem
i had buy a nother router and everything work now
some routers that work are :
Edimax (with 2 print server) €39.99 (vobis)
Sitecom 39.99 / 29.99 (dixons)

this are some routers i use at the moment
i had a kobishi router and that sucks
then a buyed a e-tech router and it worked but iám getting all the time
a connection timed out error
so then i buyed a edimax router and it worked perfect

well im sure a dif router would work, but i spent $100 on this thing and its totally uber, so im not buying a whole new router just for TS. Also, i read on other forums that updating yer firmware works, so i did that and i had alot more options but i did eveything right and it still doesn't work.

you could tell us what error your friends get ? Do they use the correct WAN IP and port ?
Have you made sure that UDP and NOT TCP is beeing forwarded in your router (to the correct LAN IP) ?

:eek: :eek: :eek: im having the excat same problem. i have the same router WRT54GS been reading forums for bout an hour now and i cant find anything to help me. ive even tried the linksys live support but all they say is "we dont support the usage of teamspeak" :mad: :mad: or "ask teamspeak how to do it" :confused: :confused: . so........... help please.
