Ok I have a NetGear rp614 router ip on the comp with the server is 192.168.0.3 I can log onto the server with my other comp so i know i can log in but friends say that they cannot I have tried that router list thing but that did nothing for my issue i have tried port forwarding still no help please if anyone can help me thanks :)
192.168.x.x is a LAN IP. You can NOT use this IP in the WAN so your friends will not be able to use this IP.
You need to look for your WAN IP (check the DYNDNS FAQ entry), setup the port forwarding in your access device (e.g. router), give your friends the WAN IP (you, from within the LAN, ONLY use LAN IP) and let them connect

so your sayin my real ip right? see my server adress is 192.168.0.3 should i give them my real ip?
people outside your lan / house need the realworld ip to connect .you use your 192.x.x.x to conect to it from inside the lan /house

http://www.xbchelp.com/router/ this site has walk thrus on port fowarding use the ports ts need not the ports they say in walk thru it's for a diferant app. so use 8767 udp defaults for ts .
walked him thru setting up his router only thing changed was opening a port range of 8767-8768 instead of 8767-8767 added the 1 port all is working now
