Just installed the latest client (complete new to TS) on my comp, (XP Pro + SP2, Audigy 2 PCI)
I've opened port 8767 UDP with my router, and can connect to the public test servers, where I hear the womans artificial voice saying "link engaged" and speaking when new players connect or leave, but I do not hear anyone speaking, and I cannot speak myself.
I've tried using the activate local test mode in sound input\output settings, I select "push to talk" voice send method, select a key, but I get no green light when I press the chosen button. Also when I press the chosen button I hear a beep which sounds like a windows beep, not a teamspeak one
I'm using a Medusa 5.1 surround headset with mic; in volume control panel in Windows, I have enabled the mic as only record device, disabled the mic on playback devices (if I enable I hear myself speak into mic through headphones) I've also tested the mic with this config by recording on sound recorder, which works - I dont hear myself speak, but the signal gets through and I can play it back)
I've read the FAQ's over and over trying to spot something which may help - failed, and all posts with similar problems, and have pretty much tried what they all recommend anyway.
Needless to say I'm well and truly stuck :(
Can anyone offer any help or suggestions, as I bought my gaming headset for sole use with TS :(
Thanks
