"Connection Timed Out"

When I try to connect to my clan's server from my comp at my mom's house, most of the time I get a message saying, "Connection timed out." But if I keep trying, I eventually get through. It never happens when I try to connect from my comp at my dad's house. Does anyone know why this happens? Thanks.

at pc at moms house open the client , settings tab / options /other / bottom check the log option "DEBUG"

I already tried that. It worked the first time after I tried it, but after that it never really helped.

has your friend tried the recommendation from the FAQ "some can connect, some can't" (=> bind the server to it's IP within the server.ini file) ?
