Hey, i have attempted to set up a TS server for my clan,. i followed the directions but everytime i try to connect it wont let me into it, i go into admin adn it says the server is up, but when you try to connect is says the server is offline of that maybe TS isnt running on it. What should i do? thanks for any help given, it will be greatly appreciated. :)
also, its a clan server, jsut a few of us who game, so itsnothing big so obviously i ahve no lciense since i don't need one for this, jsut incase u needed to know that. And i do not have a router either, does this pose a problem?
1) withihn the LAN ONLY use the LAN IP
2) make sure no firewall is blocking TS (ports: see FAQ)
3) setup a port forwarding (do a search for "port forwarding") in your access device to allow people not in your LAN to connect to your server

1. a ip that starts with 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x is a lan ip no router use 127.0.0.1 as your conect ip give out realip to those that you want in your ts server . you use the 192. and 10. from in side your lan / home only
2. if your running zonealarm, zap, blackice ,,,,,, win xp with sp2 installed you got a fire wall up , witch will block ts traffic , so you need to allow ts to bypass it or turn it off !
3. if you got no router use ip 127.0.0.1 so you can loop back to your own pc to conect to your ts server and the rest has tooo many typos to read lol

Ok, this interests me as well, cause i have the same prob. I have allowed ts to bypass the firewall, and i'm connecting from home, so my ip is 192. I don't have a router, but where do i input the 127.0.0.1 ip, and how will that looping thing work (i don't really know that much, as you must have figured), and i made sure i had no typos lol, so can you please explain? Like what steps i gotta follow? And yes, i have followed the manual exactly, more than once, and i have also uninstalled and reinstalled everything.. Thanx

you conect to a server from a client so you put 127.0.0.1 in your client to conect to a server on ypu same pc
127.0.0.1 is the IP for the localhost (the PC your working on). So this IP can only be used if destination server and client are o nthe same PC. Within a LAN, simply use the LAN IP (As stated above)
