help!!!

um i wasnt sure where this belonged so.....
Hey, i have attempted to set up a TS server for my clan,. i followed the directions but everytime i try to connect it wont let me into it, i go into admin adn it says the server is up, but when you try to connect is says the server is offline of that maybe TS isnt running on it. What should i do? thanks for any help given, it will be greatly appreciated.
also, its a clan server, jsut a few of us who game, so itsnothing big so obviously i ahve no lciense since i don't need one for this, jsut incase u needed to know that. And i do not have a router either, does this pose a problem?

from your client you should use ip 127.0.0.1 called a loop back ip all others players will use your real world ip to connect to your server

I wouldn't recommend turning off your firewall, port forward or enable the port on your pc/fw/router would be a better option. ;)
