IP for TS server keeps changing

why is that happening every couple of weeks or so...i can't join my server...it happened 2 times so far...say the IP is "123.45.67.89:WXYZ" the numerical part changes....why is that & how can i stop it..i'm running this server on my personal machine. its just for family & friends not for business. thanx :confused:

your ISP issued you a dynamic ip adress not a static ip call them and ask for a static ip adress

...and check the FAQ for dyn dns, might give you some hints.

thanx i'll try calling them, and BTW couldn't fins anything in the FAQ....
1 more thing when the server was running & i had people in it, i couldn't see when they are in different channels...unless i switch to their channel then i can see who is in it..but i don't see who is occuping the other channels.

Set your server to clan mode in the remote administration webpage.

thanx a lot guys, i found out what was going on, i have dynamic IP like you guys said because i have a residential account with my ISP. now in order to get a static IP i have to get a new svc for commerical account"busniness account" which will be a little bit over double what i pay right now. its sad, i was just running this server so i can talk to a couple of friends & may be family. nothing major...i guess i'll be closing it down..unless someone comes up with a soultion for me or a bright idea that i don't know about. thanx for everything again :(
