My Mic doesn't work on TS

I've been asking people for help alot and nobody could figure out why my mic doesn't work. It makes people echo too, I tried to re-install ts but that didn't work... I also can't talk on anything else like AIM, YIM, or MSN I don't know if my mic is broken or just doesn't work. Can someone help me? :confused:

if your using win 2000 you can only use 1 app that needs the mic at a time enless you have a second sound card , and in the operating sys , sound propertys uncheck "what you hear" to remove the ehco

I'm only using TS and my mic still doesn't work.

well i think you have to go to your sound mixing window
on the recording screen.
check if you have selected your mic
of not do that
and the bar above the checkbox must be on the top
