i am thinking of hireing a server from ts for a game called joint ops i dun have a static ip this is why i am thinking of hireing ...i am new to this sort off thing so i am confused will ts supply me with a static ip so i just add the ip and we are away ?..as it it at the moment i got to send out my ip to all in the squad and its a bind ...thx for your time :)

Teamspeak does not rent out Teamspeak servers, they only provide the software for it. If you need to rent a Teamspeak server, check http://sales.tritoncia.com/hosters.php for Authorized Teamspeak Hosting Providers.

connection info like login, IP, port,... you get from the company you rent the server. This IP will be a static one (else you should change the hoster :p

there are ways for you to host a TS server even with a dyn IP and to have a static DNS name which your buddies then use to connect. Check the FAQ thread about dyn IP / DNS. However be aware, that this is not the most stable way and if your not too familar with networking, you're probably on the safer side when renting a server => you'll have no bandwidth probs,...
