This could be small but need help..
-Have server setup on a WIN 2003 box
-Have client setup on a WIN XP box - playing EQ2
-External IP works - had someone in game test - did not have microphone at this time
-Music was constantly playing in his ear..but he logged in and I could hear him successfully thru speakers
-Changed to PUSH to Talk and tested on local server
-After changing to PUSH to Talk, I only get music when I push the key as opposed to constantly.
-Plugged mic in just about every configuration I could think of, but did not hear myself on test box..but heard music
-Question: Assuming I have a bad mic (which I'm not sure if this is just user error - hopefully), am I supposed to hear the music when I push key or do I have something setup wrong(thinking speakers to close to mic, but do not have mic plugged in when this happens)..Please inform
Thank you in advance
