I did not see any issues like mine, so I am going to post it here. Ok I am having trouble getting my new SB Audigy Value and WinXP /TS 2 2.0.32.60 to work. The sound card works fine in Enemy Territory and with mp3's and other sounds. However, with TS, I am getting garbage back (crazy sounds) when I do the local loop test. I am using push to talk- I can record something with the sound recorder so my hardware appears to be fine. I can hear other people. I know its not the server. I was using the nForce audio. It is disabled in my bios now and the nForce audio software has been removed. I have also updated to DirectX 9.0c. I have of course tried Direct sound/Wav SB Audigy/Default Primary sound capture, etc etc.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

edit: Ventrillo works just fine when set to "wav" so we know my hardware is working.... Any ideas? I need TS !

OK I finally got it. I am not sure why it is working now but I am glad.

in your operating system sound propertys is the "what you hear" in the recording section checked ? if so uncheck it
