I have had problems with TS and USB mics. Apparently since it is USB, wave in will not work, and I have to use direct capture, which is very loud and has bad sound qualities
Any Suggestions?

probably due to the high volume it will sound bad, simple put the (in or output depending what is too loud) sliders more to the left..
and try using the normalization option for better sound ..
I have a USB MIC and it works fine... Too bad I cannot stay connected to a server for longer than 15 minutes (linksys bug)...

Why would a USB mic prevent wave in? In principle the OS shouldn't know how the bits got to it, whether they came in through a sound card on the PCI bus or the USB bus. (A USB mic is just an input-only sound card on a different bus. USB speakers are an output-only sound card on that bus.)

Who makes it? Got a link? We should either complain to the maker or warn everyone off from buying this turkey!

Labtec... thier good USB Mic. IT's not the mic man... it works great in sound recorder... so clear... But the problem is it wont work in TS under Wave In mode, since i guees USB aint wave in... I can only use it in direct capture, and that makes it fuzzy, and it picks up a lot of BG noise... Im hoping Ts 2 will fix it
If u got any idea how to make it work in wave-in plz tell me
