Ok, bear with me here...
I've got a perfectly functional Teamspeak setup using a normal headset plugged into the mic/speaker jacks on my sound card.
The problem comes in when I plug in the Headphone switch I picked up from Radio Shack. Once this is plugged in, even when only the output cable is hooked up I start echoing everything I receive back to the server.
What totally boggles me is that this happens when NO input device is connected anywhere, I simply have to have this switch plugged into the speaker jack on the sound card, and the echo starts. I know it doesn't make any sense, but I've had this behavior on 3 different computers (all with different sound devices) and 2 different switches.
Please understand (before I get 16 people pointing me to all the other echo posts) that this is *not* the typical echo problem caused by needing to change mixer settings / etc. This is *only* caused by this headphone switch.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks!
