ive expierianced this bug everytime i run teamspeak 2,

this is exactly what happens, i join a server and everythings working fine, then 30 minutes up to 2 hours later when im speaking (doesnt matter if its voice recognition or push to talk) it will no longer turn the mic on to hear my voice, so when i go to check on wtf is going on, the little light that comes on when its picking your voice up is always stuck either on or off even when its silent or when im screaming into it, this is unfixable unless you reboot which is very annoying.

please tell me this is a novice issue or some ez fix

thanks

ok my bad really hard to see where it cut off from message to sig

im running windows xp pro w/ sp2 creative labs soundcard dunno old school

i read around and some other peoples have this problem, but i have found no fix, someone in a post said "this issue IS resolved read the news at the top" but it must have been old because when i went to read the news there was no mention of it and i couldnt find any old news.

so its obvious that this bug is semi known and if you could post your fixes here thatd be nice

pretty f'n sure its not my sound card its ts, so dont assume its that just because im not sure what it is.

EDIT : sound card is Creative Sound Blaster PCI

* TeamSpeak version latest
* Operation System + Service packs win xp pro /sp 2
* Soundcard + Driver versions creative sound blaster pci
* Game (full name, not short like CS or something, search engine needs more than 3 characters) any game any time sometimes not even in a game
* DirectX Version (if its anything different then 8.1 then you probably didn't read the FAQ forum) latest 9.0c i think
* What error message do you receive? (information out of your TSclient.log or server.log can be very useful) no error it just locks the mic ( notice lock doesnt mean freeze the program it means i cant turn the mic on to send voice )
* How often does the error appear? every time i use it ranging from 30 minutes to 2 or 3 hours
* What did you do to resolve the problem? reboot its the only way
* and last but not least: Are you a hot looking girl? (I think it might be better of not asking that) lol no

it does it in americas army which has no mic support, i dont think its xp changing my settings because team speak will seriously lock the mic like when im talking so even if i unplug the mic the light for when you are transmitting your voice is still on, its stuck. i really think its team speak. can i use like team speak 1 or something?

do you experience the same problem when using push-to-talk?
does your TeamSpeak-client respond in some way (like scrolling, minimizing) or is it locked up completely?
what is your cpu-usage? (CTRL+ALT+DEL, in the task-manager you'll find information about the cpu-usage of the ts-client)

Until now I'd guess the sound-driver somehow manages to freeze the whole ts-application. You could experiment with wave and direct sound settings in your ts-clients settings / options.
You could try upgrading your soundcard's drivers, but I don't think that helps.
I remember some kind of this problem with my own pc, but I have a SB Live! value. The solution for me was to use other drivers, which are more advanced than the creative ones... (see the FAQ: http://forum.goteamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=1983 )

Also you might want to set teamspeak's priority to high...

hope this helps,
cu

PS: I forgot to mention that usb-devices sometimes cause weird problems with teamspeak... thus you could try unplugging unneeded devices.

yeah i get the same thing when i press push to talk, im using a usb mic because my soundcard doesnt pickup mics when i plug it right into the card.

also its not the entire program that freezes, im still able to do everything in the program except speak until i reboot. (example i can join other channels send text messages change settings, but no more talking)

cpu goes from like 0 - 5

i tryed giving teamspeak realtime memory so ill see how that works

i went on the ventrillo forums and the problem has something to do with directinput disabling my hotkey, its also due to my really bad sound card so im going to get a new one and see how that works
