There is a form (very limited) of text chat in TS 2.0, but it is very limited as this is a voice chat program, not an text chat

Send messages to rooms/persons is possible

Cool. That'll be handy for verifying the connection when one's audio setup is screwed up. You can separate debugging the connection from debugging the audio.
